Machine wash in cold water and tumble dry low to keep the chenille pile full. Do not iron directly. A light brush restores the plush texture after washing.

Both are 100% polyester chenille. Softy is a fluffy #5 Bulky plush at 98 yards per 100 g and works with a 4 to 5 mm hook, which many makers also use for no-crochet finger-knit and tufted projects. Velvet is a touch finer at 132 yards per 100 g for more detailed amigurumi.

Can I use Softy without crochet or knitting?

How do I wash Softy without flattening the pile?
